CLGE launches the Young Surveyors’ Contest 2026

The Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE) is pleased to announce the launch of the 14th edition of the CLGE Young Surveyors’ Contest 2026, continuing its long-standing commitment to supporting young talent in the geospatial profession across Europe.

This inclusive competition invites young surveyors and students (35 years or younger) from all over Europe to showcase their Bachelor’s or Master’s theses, PhD papers, research work, professional projects, or innovative ideas in the fields of geodesy, cadastre, mapping, and geoinformation. Individual applicants or teams are welcome to participate.

The application process is simple and accessible: participants are asked to submit a 1,000-word application using this official CLGE YSC template. Selected candidates will be invited to present their work during the online finals, after which the winners will be announced.

The Awarding Ceremony will take place during INTERGEO 2026 in Munich on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, offering finalists a unique opportunity to gain international visibility, meet industry leaders, and connect with peers from across Europe. Attractive prizes are awarded, and winners will be invited as guests of CLGE, with travel and accommodation costs covered.

In recent years, winners of the contest have gone on to share inspiring success stories – demonstrating how participation can open doors, boost confidence, and shape future careers. Stay tuned for testimonials from our CLGE Contest Ambassadors, who will share their journeys and encourage new participants to take the leap.
