Surveyors Day in the Republic of Moldova



Let’s celebrate the Moldavian Surveyors Day … and learn!

By governmental decision, every last Sunday in July is declared “Surveyors Day” in the Republic of Moldova. This is of course a very interesting initiative and one could learn from it. We could for instance work on a similar concept in our different member states or, why not, in Europe. We will table this idea to the General Assembly.

CLGE of course wishes all the best to its young member, the Moldavian Union of Surveyors! We hope that the celebration will be successful. As seen during our visit in Moldova, the Union is a proud and ambitious association. It works closely with the National Mapping and Cadastral Agency (the Land Relation and Cadastre Agency). We are convinced that their common roadmap, hopefully inspired by our mission report and recommendations, will lead the Moldovan Cadastral system and its Cadastral Surveyors to a full-grown and stable infrastructure.
