CLGE Director General Jean-Yves Pirlot is elected Vice President of CEPLIS

The General Assembly of the European Council of Liberal Professions (CEPLIS), gathered in Milan (IT), on 14 June 2022.

President Gaetano Stella from Italy was logically re-elected, as well as our Director General, Jean-Yves Pirlot. The latter will serve on the new board for the coming three years. Jean-Yves was also elected as Vice President of CEPLIS.

CLGE President Vladimir Krupa said: “We knew that Jean-Yves had all the chances to get re-elected for an additional term and the fact that he was chosen as Vice President will not surprise those who know him. He is very committed to the profession and works relentlessly in expanding our European Network. This is totally in line with my thinking; We need more Europe!”.

Matjaž Grilc, Chair of our Interest Group for Publicly Appointed and Regulated Liberal Surveyors, added: “CEPLIS is the ideal platform for us to interact with the EU, and recent history shows that this has implications, far beyond the Union. We hope that during this mandate, our ideas about Sustainability, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will find their way into wider acceptance, including via their integration into our codes of ethics. With this network we will also promote initiatives such as the European Real Estate Area Label (www.euREAL.eu / International Property Measurement Standard Coalition), the Condominium and Utility Cadastre projects, the Sustainable Fit-for-Purpose approach, the Code of Professional Qualifications for Property surveyors, to mention only a few”. CLGE congratulates President Stella and the whole team, and notices with pleasure that James Lonergan, incoming CEPLIS Board member from Ireland is also a Surveyor.
