CLGE Statement on the Invasion of Ukraine

CLGE strongly condemns the aggression of the Government of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

We reaffirm our absolute opposition against war and any kind of violence. The current tragic events are totally unacceptable. Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people, our colleagues and friends, who are suffering due to this unprovoked invasion. Our profession is fundamentally concerned with boundaries and property rights and we are committed to the resolution of disputes through dialogue and peaceful means. CLGE is a European professional network based on tolerance, friendship, and peace; anyone who does not adhere to these high values has no place in our Association.

Update 28 February 2022: Following the suspension of the Russian Federation by the Council of Europe, the CLGE Executive Board has decided to suspend its member from the Russian Federation.
