FIG President Elect addresses the CLGE General Assembly in Seville

We were delighted to welcome FIG President Elect, Dr Diane Dumashie, to our recent General Assembly in Seville.

Diane addressed the GA during the opening session on Friday, 28th October where she remarked upon the challenges facing the planet and society and the need for all surveyors, right across the profession, to work together to secure a sustainable future.

Diane’s address built on the theme of her presentation at the previous day’s VIII CLGE Conference of the European Surveyor which was ‘The Blue Surveyor: People, Planet and Partnerships in which she emphasised the critical importance of capacity, skills, competencies, standards and partnerships in ensuring that surveyors everywhere play their full role in delivering the UN-SDGs.

CLGE President Vladimir Krupa said ‘I am delighted to welcome Diane as FIG President Elect to join our General Assembly. I would like to thank Diane for spending this time with us and especially for her thought provoking presentation during the VIII CLGE Conference of the European Surveyor. It was great to have the FIG Commission 7 Annual Meeting 2022 taking place in Seville alongside our own events which gave great opportunity for mutual cooperation and reciprocity with FIG and CLGE delegates attending and presenting at each other’s events. CLGE looks forward to developing our close and fruitful relationship with FIG over the coming years.’
