Women are essential for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative
On 21 June 2022, Blaženka Mičević represented CLGE at the 4th European Engineers’ Day, in Brussels (BE).
Blaženka promoted our Project ‘Women in Surveying’ and spoke about the difficulties that women continuously have to face in the male-dominated field of civil engineering. She made it clear that for the success of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, the position of women in the industry must change and the female involvement must be recognised more clearly. Please read her full presentation entitled ‘Why women power is essential for the success of the NEB?‘
Klaus Thürriedl, President of the European Council of Engineers Chambers was full of praise about Blaženka’s participation. For him it “… was an essential addition to the panel and contributed to further educating the participants on the issues female professionals continuously have to face in the male dominated world of the Engineering Profession”.
After our Saariselkä Declaration, Blaženka was asked to help CLGE develop a Diversity Equity and Inclusion or DEI Department.
