Announcing the winners of the CLGE Global Surveyors’ Day Photo Contest 2024
1st Place - Nele Vanhoutte, Coo, Belgium
The 2024 CLGE European Surveyors’ Day photo competition concluded at our General Assembly in Cavtat (HR), the winners are:
1st Place goes to Nele Vanhoutte (HOGENT), Coo, Belgium for the entry ‘Measuring in an amusement parc in Coo with 80 Belgian students #lovesurveying‘
2nd Place goes to Geomaster, Nis, Serbia for the entry ‘Sunset surveying‘
3rd Place goes to Paula Noriega Fernández, Castilla La Mancha, Spain for the entry ‘Laser scanning work on a Roman mosaic in Castilla La Mancha‘
Congratulations to our three winners! Their winning entries have truly enriched this celebration of surveying excellence.
Thank you to all our participants for showcasing the diverse beauty of our surveying profession across Europe on Global Surveyors Day 2024. Your entries have offered an intriguing perspective, making surveying visible to others from new angles.
The 34 varied entries showcased the diverse work and landscapes captured by surveyors across Europe. Participants from 14 different countries – Belgium, Estonia, France, Greece, Latvia, Netherlands, Portugal Serbia, Slovenia, Spain Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom and even Botswana – uploaded photos, tagged locations, and shared insights into their activities. This demonstrated their creativity and spatial storytelling which resulted in a vibrant display of our surveying profession, you can check out all the entries at Global Surveyors’ Day (arcgis.com)
