EuroGeographics General Assembly 2019

The 2019 EuroGeographics General Assembly will be hosted by Ordnance Survey, supported by the two other EuroGeographics members in Great Britain: Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.  It will be held at The Midland Hotel, Manchester from 6 to 9 October. The CLGE President Maurice Barbieri will be in attendance.

About the Annual General Assembly

The Annual General Assembly is the principal decision-making body of EuroGeographics.  Day-to-day operations are conducted by a small team in Brussels, led by the Executive Director & Secretary General who reports to the Management Board which meets several times a year.

The General Assembly makes formal decisions about strategy, plans, budgets, board appointments, etc. in response to the recommendations of the Management Board.  Over the years it has expanded into a conference format, becoming the main forum for networking and exchange of views among the leaders of Europe’s mapping, cadastral and land registration agencies.

About EuroGeographics

Based in Brussels, EuroGeographics is an independent international not-for-profit organisation representing Europe’s National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authorities. We believe in a society empowered by the use of trusted geospatial services from these official national sources.

EuroGeographics’ vision is that European location services will provide the single access point for international users of harmonised, pan-European, authoritative geospatial information and services. This will enable national mapping, cadastral and land registry authorities to be recognised in their international effort to contribute to the wider public good.
