Enrico remarked that he “would be delighted if you accept my invitation to participate in the Joint Workshop of FIG Commissions 3 & 8 on the theme of ‘Spatial Information Management to optimise Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development’. Technical activity is the first prerequisite both for knowledge of the territory and for the design of a compatible development with the environment. So, our detailed and precise work is the basis of every development that affects our planet. I believe that the topics that will be discussed are very coherent with the themes that have always been developed by CLGE and the programme offers interesting scientific ideas.”

CLGE President Vladimir Krupa strongly supports this event and sees it as further evidence of close cooperation between FIG and CLGE and its members. The current public health situation was not conducive to the preparations for this event, but the hybrid approach of combining onsite and online participation will be beneficial.
