Global Surveyor of the Year 2024 – Eng. Martín Chaverri Roig

Engineer Martín Chaverri Roig who was one of the most prominent Costa Rican professionals in the field of topography and geodesy has been unveiled on this Global Surveyors’ Day as the Global Surveyor of the Year 2024.

Please see visit our Global Surveyor of the Year 2024 page to download his poster and profile.

This year the nomination was made by our colleagues from the Pan American Association of Surveying and Topography Professionals (APPAT). Marc Vanderschueren, President of FGF (Fédération des Géomètres Francophones), has formally handed over the chairmanship of the Forum of Regional Bodies (FoRB) to APPAT’s President Pedro Luis Garcia Perez. The latter chaired the Global Surveyors’ Day 2024 event.

As is customary, the Global Surveyor of the Year was unveiled during a special event to mark this very important day. The hybrid event ran twice, at different times of the the day, to enable surveyors and colleagues from around the world to participate. CLGE was no exception with our entire Executive Board joining online while gathered for our meeting in Madrid (ES) together with our Members from across Europe who joined from their offices, in the field or at home.

In Europe CLGE organised a Global Surveyors’ Day Photo Contest. Please visit the announcement of our three winners which was made live at our General Assembly in Cavtat (HR).

We thank our colleagues from APPAT and the Colegio de Ingenieros Topógrafos de Costa Rica for their collaboration and organising a successful Global Surveyors’ Day 2024 event.
