Dr. Schuster appointed as member of the European Policy Group

photo Dr.-Ing. Otmar Schuster has been appointed as member of the Business Chamber in the European Policy Group (EPG) of the European Commission for Enterprise and Industry. The EPG consists of two chambers, the first comprising representatives from the member states, the second comprising eminent persons from business. The last one consists of 28 members, two of them coming from Germany. The 1st meeting of the newly formed group took place at the 4th of December 2007. The members are appointed in a personal capacity and shall advise the Commission independently. It is the task of the EPG to advise the Commission in questions of mainly the SME- policy. Dr. Otmar Schuster brings in a professional experience of 35 years as public appointed liberal professional, as a producer of GPS-equipment, as service provider but also a long time experience as president of a German and European association as well as his leadership in the Centre of Technique and Innovation (ZENIT). His intention is, to work for a situation, where the European entrepreneur gets more room for his actions. Seamlessly this new task falls in line with his successful former actions on the European Sector in the "Market Report" or the "Multilateral Accord" . As a result he follows the Credo: If Europe demands personal responsibility instead of structure responsibility, it creates a better frame work for the small and medium sized economy.
